Boerne Sunrise Rotary Car Show – Presented by Mata’s Concepts
Get ready, Boerne! The Boerne Sunrise Rotary Car Show, presented by Mata’s Concepts, rolls into town Saturday, November 1st, at Random Beer Garden, located at 11 Upper Cibolo Creek Road. Registration runs 9–11 a.m. with a $30 entry fee the day of the show. All rides are welcome — from classics and hot rods to motorcycles, rat rods, and low riders. Trophies will be awarded to the Top 30 vehicles, with special honors for Best in Show and Best Paint. Enjoy great food, a 50/50 drawing, and a full day of engines, sunshine, and Hill Country pride — all benefiting local charities and scholarships. Burn Ban Still On: Kendall County Commissioners confirmed the burn ban remains in effect as dry conditions continue. Outdoor burning is prohibited except for limited cooking or heating within a 10-foot safe zone.
Rabies Warning: Kendall County Animal Control has confirmed two rabies cases in raccoons — one near Comfort and another near Fabra Oaks west of Boerne. Residents are urged to vaccinate pets, avoid contact with wild animals, and report suspicious wildlife behavior.
Road Work Alert: Utility relocation continues along Dietz-Elkhorn Road near Fair Oaks Parkway with eastbound lane closures through Thursday, October 16. Expect flaggers and signage on-site and slow-moving traffic.
Judicial Appointment: Boerne native Katherine McDaniel has officially been appointed by Governor Greg Abbott to the 498th Judicial District Court, serving through December 31, 2026.
