🏆 Sports Update
As we close out 2025, local teams finished the year with competitive matchups and strong efforts across the Hill Country.
On the hardwood, the Boerne Greyhounds boys basketball team picked up a solid 68–59 road win over Smithson Valley, a composed conference victory away from home. The Boerne Greyhounds girls also continued strong play earlier in the week with a 65–17 road win over San Antonio Veterans Memorial.
At home, the Champion Chargers were right there with Alamo Heights but came up just short, falling 64–58 in a tightly contested game. Comfort capped off the night with authority, rolling past Dilley 78–46 in a statement win for the Bobcats.
On the gridiron, the Boerne Greyhounds football season came to an end with a tough regional championship loss to Alamo Heights at Alamo Stadium, closing out a strong playoff run and another successful season under the Friday night lights.
In the pros, the San Antonio Spurs wrapped up the year with mixed results. They picked up a thrilling 135–132 road win over the New Orleans Pelicans, highlighted by a late go-ahead bucket, before falling 124–113 to the New York Knicks in the NBA Cup Final in Las Vegas.
That’s how 2025 wraps up in sports across Kendall County and beyond.

💧 Health Tip of the Week – Why Hydration Matters
Staying properly hydrated is one of the most important foundations of good health. Your body is made up of 60–80% water, and even mild dehydration can affect energy levels, focus, digestion, joint health, and overall performance.
Chronic dehydration may contribute to fatigue, headaches, inflammation, muscle cramps, and added stress on the kidneys and heart. Supporting your body with clean, mineral-rich water helps maintain balance and function throughout the day.
At WaterTree Boerne, water is crafted daily into Living Antioxidant Alkaline water using real minerals going beyond basic reverse-osmosis to support better hydration for you and your family.
